Night nurses in Bellevue and the Eastside
Night nurses, east of the lake.
Washington-licensed RNs and LPNs for overnight newborn care in Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Issaquah and Mercer Island.
The short answer
Night Nurse introduces Eastside families to licensed night nurses (RNs and LPNs licensed to practice in Washington) and newborn care specialists. You see each nurse's rate before you unlock them, hire them directly, and pay one flat $1,500 placement fee, never a percentage.
Night nanny or night nurse
Searching for a night nanny in Bellevue?
Most Eastside listings for night nannies, newborn care specialists and night nurses blur together. The difference that matters is a license. In Washington, only a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse may be called a nurse (RCW 18.79.030).
If a licensed nurse in the room matters to you, ask for a license number and check it on the Washington State Department of Health credential search or Nursys. If it does not, a newborn care specialist usually costs $10 to $25 an hour less. The side-by-side comparison covers training, licensing and rates.

Eastside rates
What Eastside nights cost.
Eastside overnight care runs about $20 a night more than Seattle. Licensed RNs in the Seattle area commonly list $55 to $70 an hour, which is $495 to $630 for a 9-hour night before the Eastside premium. A plan of 4 nights a week for 6 weeks with an RN at $65 an hour comes to $14,040 in nurse pay, plus our flat fee.
Experienced Eastside nurses book 4 to 6 months ahead, and spring is the busiest booking season. See the full night nurse cost guide for taxes, insurance and fee models.
Questions families ask
Is a night nanny in Bellevue the same as a night nurse?
No. In Washington only a licensed RN or LPN may be called a nurse. A night nanny or newborn care specialist can be very experienced with newborns, and they are not licensed nurses. Ask anyone advertised as a night nurse for their license number.

Eastside overnight care runs about $20 a night more than Seattle, where licensed RNs commonly list $55 to $70 an hour. Through Night Nurse you pay your nurse directly, plus one flat $1,500 placement fee for a licensed nurse.
Which Eastside cities do you serve?
Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Sammamish, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Medina, Bothell, Woodinville, Snoqualmie and nearby. Tell us your city on the request form.
Will my employer's benefits pay for a night nurse?
Sometimes. Some employer benefit programs, such as lifestyle spending accounts or family and fertility benefits, have covered caregiving or overnight postpartum care. Ask your plan administrator for an itemized-receipt rule before you book. Health insurance and FSAs generally do not cover care for a healthy baby.
